Although it is not spectacular, it is a nice village in the confluence of rivers Rhine and Mosela. You would need half of a day to visit it and walk along any of the paths that the rivers have. It is not an indispensable place.

Come to the river mouth, and you will find yourself surrounded by water everywhere, in the middle of the two big flows. The confluence is dominated by the huge commemorative equestrian statue William I, that is a copy of the original, destroyed in 1945.
On the other bank of the river, on the slope, you can see a fortress.

We suggest to visit one of the nice and interesting fountains, like the Rascal fountain (a little difficult to find, in a small yard) or the Historical fountain. Near the Rascal fountain we found the buildings complex that includes the city hall or an ancient convent from the end of the Renaissance and beginning of Baroque. We liked the Saint Castor church, from the end of the 12th century.
The centre is nice because of its squares, terraces and pedestrian streets. Koblenz is a place to walk very calm and with no worries.
The went back to Cologne by train to later take the night train for Copenhagen.
