KONSTANZ
Dispensable Worthwhile Very recommendable Marvel

It is a spa city, frequented by tourists that search for mild vacations. It hasn't got any special charming. We walked slowly along the Konstanz lake and the surrounding gardens. We hired a pedal boat to relax for a while and enjoy the landscape. This is a starting point for cruises going to Schaffhausen through the Rhine.

lago Constanza

As the city is concerned we can signal that thanks to its prosperity in the past, it was selected as the see for the Council that retried to join the Christian religion, then divided by the Occident Schism of 1378. That previous schism ended with two Popes claiming the head of the Church. The Konstanz Council needed 3 years and finally they agreed to reunify and choose one Pope, in 1417.
