Arahova

On our way back from Delphi to Athens there is a charming village on the slope of the Parnassos mountain mass. In winter it is crowded with skiers. The landscape is beautiful and mountainous. The village is placed on the edge of the Pleistos valley.

It was getting dark and the light gave us strange colours in the sky and the mountain slopes. The houses are built all in stone, with red roofs. They are piled up on the slope. The streets are picturesque and they have many shops, taverns and people walking. We visited the church at the top of the village, which offers an excellent viewpoint . We bought some honey and typical wine, redcurrant flavoured. We had a calm walk looking at the sightsees or at the rural houses, entering the shops and looking at the region products while you feel that your mouth waters.
Later we took the next bus coming from Delphi that brought us to Athens at night.
