Despite we had moved across the Highlands, now we went into the true heart. We decided to drive to Strathpeffer through these legendary lands to enjoy the Highland Games. In our way we passed across a village called Plockton. |
|
We took a narrow road that brought us the first surprise of the day. In a crossroads of a tiny village we found the typical highland furry cows lying at one side, over the ground.
After having fun for some minutes and taking some pictures we followed the narrow road until we ran into a precious viewpoint near Plockton .

This is a hidden village, far from the main roads. I understand that they hide from the world, as they keep a treasure, a fantastic landscape nearby a lake.
We had a walk, astonished because of the colours and the environment. |

We continued through a road's stretch, where we didn't see any other vehicle. It gave the impression that we were alone in the region. At least the car didn't break down. The road crossed leafy forests and narrow valleys . As in most roads around the Highlands only one car can pass, since two cars would exceed the width. Every determined distance they display wide stretches to allow the car crossings. In the end we went out to the general road, the A890, that brought us across the Highlands to Strathpeffer. |
