Interrail and Eurail are not only tickets to travel cheaper, but a different way to know Europe. They are tickets thought specially for the youngest people, or adult people with young spirit. Don´t believe that people only use them to save money, because it is rather an unforgettable and enriching adventure. If you ask to anyone who has lived this experience he will tell you hundreds of wonders, anecdotes and places. It could be defined as a philosophy. Long after you will make tourism across many places, if you have luck you will allow more luxuries to yourself or you will know exotic places, or you will have simpler and more relaxed trips. Nevertheless you are always going to remember with special affection that InterRail during your youth. Come on! It is not late yet, if you are young you can still live an adventure that you never will forget. If you have a pair of weeks of vacations don´t hesitate, perhaps in the future you don´t find an opportunity like this. Take your backpack, buy the pass and live your dream! |

Eurail is the brand name for a range of international railpasses for overseas visitors to Europe. The 17 main countries you can visit with the Eurail are Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. However, we will see some passes that will allow other European countries. First class is more quiet and spacious with fewer seats per compartment or car. There is more room for luggage and generally will be less crowded as most Europeans using the train travel in second class. Anyone is eligible to purchase an Eurail pass, except residents from the countries of Europe, the Russian Federation, Turkey, Morocco, Algeria or Tunisia. For these cases you will need an Interrail card instead. However there are some exceptions that are not explained in most websites. There are some passes that any citizen (except for citizens belonging to the country included in the pass) can purchase, even Europeans. For more information go to the Eurail passes for Europeans section. Before the first time you use it, you must present your rail pass and passport at a train station ticket window for validation, prior to boarding the train. This is only necessary the first time. After that, you have the freedom of unlimited travel all day according to the validity of your pass. Nevertheless there are some services that need to pay a supplement for: seat reservations, night trains and high speed trains. In these trains the reservation is obligatory. In order to have detailed information on those supplements, to know the trains belonging to these groups and for having an approximate idea about the amount, visit the supplement section or the special trains section. The Eurail passes (habitually the Eurail Pass , Eurail Select Pass and Eurail Regional Passs) also entitle you to benefit from numerous bonuses, varying from free or reduced transportation on the tracks of private railroad companies, on national or international ferry crossings, and on buses, as well as reductions on car rental, hotels, museums and bicycle rental. The ferry routes covered include Ireland-France , Italy-Greece and Germany-Sweden-Finland. Each country has its specific bonuses. For detailed information and conditions of use regarding the bonuses available visit the official page of Eurail at: Or in alleuroerail at: Ferry discounts at: Travel must begin no later than 6 months after the issuing date of the pass. |

If you are 25 or less years of age, there is a cheaper “Youth” version of the Eurail pass which gives 2nd class travel. This is perhaps the most similar pass to the Interrail. Youth passes are valid exclusively for those who are still under 26 on the first day of validity of their pass.Travelers under 26 years of age may, of course, also buy a 1st class pass. Children aged 4 up to 11 (both ages included) pay half the adult fare and are considered as one person. Children under the age of 4 travel for free. |
