| Regional Passes | ||||||||||
There is another option within Eurail. The Eurail Regional passes are perfect for travelers who want to see a small part of Europe in a shorter timeframe. Eurail currently offers a selection of nine Regional passes, giving you the opportunity to visit two (or in some cases, more) bordering countries. The Eurail Regional Passes are valid for 4 up to 10 days within 2 months for travel in a certain region. If two of you (or more) travel together, the "Saver" version of the Eurail Regional passes gives you a special price, with no less than 15% reduction per person. If you are 25 or less years of age, there may be a cheaper "Youth" version of the Eurail Regional passes which gives 2nd class travel. Youth passes are valid exclusively for those who are still under 26 on the first day of validity of their pass. Travelers under 26 years of age may, of course, also buy a 1st class pass. Check each region conditions to find if a Youth pass is available. You may even find 2nd class Regional passes for adults in some regions. The availability of 2nd for adults and/or for Youth as well as the number of traveldays for which the various passes are valid, may differ per Regional pass. Here we show the links to the different Regional passes. They will direct you either to the official Eurail website or to the Raileurope website. |

However you will find a bigger variety of regional passes than those in the official Eurail website if you visit one of the European train ticketing agencies. We have listed the most important ones at the end of the Eurail section. Among those ticketing agencies Raileurope is the one offering the biggest variety. In addition to the previous regions you can find: Balkans (Bulgaria , Greece , Macedonia , Montenegro , Romania , Serbia and Turkey) Benelux (Belgium , Luxembourg , Netherlands) European East (Austria , Czech Republic , Hungary , Poland , Slovakia) Scanrail (Denmark , Finland , Norway , Sweden) |

The Single Country passes allow to visit one country among 16 European countries. The equivalent pass for European citizens is the Eurodomino pass. These Single passes are not available at the official website but you will find all of them in Raileurope, and many of them in the rest of European train ticketing agencies listed at the bottom of this webpage. The conditions of each Single Country pass can differ from the others, so there is no general period of time or common price. In many cases we find discounts with the "Saver" and "Youth" versions of the Eurail Single Country passes. It is better go to your selected country to know everything. Here we show the links to the different Single Country passes. They will direct you to the Raileurope website. |
