Habitually the passes have the same price in every agency, but sometimes you can find discounts for punctual passes. For example you may have a look at the next urls: http://www.raileurope.com/us/specials/index.htm |

| Eurail Passes for Europeans | ||||||||||
There are some websites that explain this option: http://www.europeanrailguide.com/railpasses/index.html http://www.eurorailways.com/rail/mcp/index.htm You can find some available passes for Europeans, Morocco, Algeria or Tunisia (except for citizens belonging to the country included in the pass). This is the case for some regional passes like the East Europe, Balkans, Benelux, Iberic or ScanRail Rail Passes. In addition you can find some single country passes for everyone. Visit any of these two links to check a concrete pass. We asked by email to Raileurope to know if these passes are suitable for Europeans and they answered to verify this information. |

You can find out more information about Eurail passes at www.Raileurope.com or on the official Eurail website, www.eurail.com , as probably these are the most complete websites. Rail Europe is the official source in United States , Canada , Mexico , The Caribbean and Central American countries for all types of Eurail passes as well as new single- or double-country passes. Rail Europe also offers a full selection of Eurorail train tickets so that you can reserve your seats on almost any train in Europe. Their scheduler will tell you which European train requires of reservation and which one not. If the train requires of reservations, their system knows enough to show you a global price that includes them. If you have a railpass and only need the reservations, simply mark the "I have a Rail Pass" checkbox. However, there's usually one or more agencies in each country that can sell European train tickets, railpasses and reservations. These agencies are listed in Eurail website at http://eurail.lwb-online.info/index.php?view=cms_460&PHPSESSID=319572220fc4bda8db4bbf17fa3a3ac1 or in Raileurope at http://www.raileurope.com/us/search/index.htm or in Seat61 at http://www.seat61.com/Europe.htm Among those other internet ticket agencies we emphasize some with interesting information and options: www.eurorailways.com (USA), www.europeonrail.com (USA), http://www.alleuroperail.com (USA), www.railplus.com.au (Australia), www.train-ticket.net (Hong Kong), www.travelextours.com.sg (Singapore), www.world-travel.co.za (South Africa), www.tcindia.com (India), RailChoice.co.uk (for overseas citizen staying in United Kingdom), http://www.europeanrailguide.com (UK), http://www.seat61.com (UK) A interesting url is http://www.eurorailways.com/brochure/index.htm, where you have many pdf brochures explaining the conditions for each pass. Since the Eurail products are intended for non-European residents, it is difficult to find an outlet to buy these passes in Europe. Most Eurail European offices sell them, but at a 20% higher rate than back home. Therefore, try to buy your Eurail pass from one of the different agents showed here. You can read the European list of Eurail offices at: If all you want is a simple ticket for a short daytime journey at an off-peak time of year, it's probably better to book in person at the station when you get to Europe . For long trips, it's often best to book in advance. It's increasingly possible to book European trains online, at the same prices we Europeans pay, direct with the train operators. Although the European companies won´t send the ticket to your country it is more and more common to make the online booking with ticket collection at European stations. Some UK agencies like www.trainseurope.co.uk will send the tickets overseas at your own risk and for a small fee. Click here to get a list of European railways companies websites. If you still have any doubt, you may try to ask it at our forums. We suugest you to have a look to the useful information section to read some travel advice and to download maps form any European country. |
